Sumie is a Judo Black Belt, Professional Female MMA Fighter and Professional Wrestler. Sumie has been featured in Pro Wrestling Illustrated, the cover of Fight Zone Magazine, Time Magazine and several Japanese publications. Her Judo titles include: 1984-91 Mie State Champion, 1989 All Japan High School Best 8 Champion, 1989 Aichi/Gifu/Shizuoka State Area Champion, 1991 All Japan Club Champion, 1992-93 Tokushima State Champion, 1991-93 Miki House Club Cup Champion in France, 1994 World Miki House Club Cup Champion in Osaka, Japan, 1993 All Japan Best 8 Champion, 1995 Ishikawa/Fukui/Nagano/Niigata/Toyama State Area Champion. Sumi was the 1997 All Japan Wrestling Champion. Pro Wrestling-1998-2002 Jd’ Jr. Champion, All Japan Women’s Tag Champion, QOR Champion, AWF Champion, Nishiguchi Puroresu Tag Champion. 2002-NWC/PWU Women’s/WEW Tag Champion. Sumie’s MMA career includes headlining all women’s cards, fighting on pay per view and features all over the internet and magazines.
